At the recent conference in NZ one of the issues that was brought up and fellowshipped was the need for the saints to be perfected in Truth, in Life, in Service that they may become suitable materials for the Lord’s building.
The Brothers have fellowshipped much on the matter. In assessing the situation in the Church we confess that we are very short and lacking in the Words of God. We need to be infused and saturated with the Words. The Words of God must be our food and our drink.
“Man shall not live on bread alone but by every word that proceeds through the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4
“It must be our lamp and our light.” Deuteronomy 8:3
“Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105
We look to the Lord to make up for our lack. After much prayers we feel that we can start as soon as possible. We were led by the Lord that the whole Church should start Bible reading corporately. We feel that we should use the combined meeting on the 6/1/2013 to impart the burden to the saints followed by the start of Bible reading on the 7/1/2013 with the Recovery Version Study Guide (RSG) materials. We just want the saints to have a taste and to be stirred up in their appetite in something so fundamental and vital as reading the Bible. RSG is good in that it contains the key notes and is suitable for group pursuit. This is especially important as many of us are struggling with the Holy Word for Morning Revival and provides a means for mutual speaking, pursuing and shepherding. We feel that it will also good to monitor the progress of the saints maybe by coming up with some statistics of the proportion of saints progress with the reading. In the beginning the material (on the Book of Matthew) will first be printed as we re making further enquires with KL Book room about the availability of this material in book form.
The time required is about 30 minutes each and every day. This time spent will be most profitable for our building up as suitable materials for the Lord’s Building. Let us pray for a good start and a good continuation. Let us pray that day by day, a little here a little there, line upon line, precept upon precept we all get constituted and saturated with the precious Words of the Lord.
